Rohit Gurunath Sharma is an indian international Cricketer who Currently Serves as the captain of the Indian ODI and T20 team. He is the captain of Mumbai Indian IPL team. The righ-handed batsman is better Know as The Hitman' For his hard hitting ability, and has Scored a record three double-centuries in ODI's, with centuries in Test and T20 Format as well. He was born on April 30, 1987 in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharastra. His mother, Pur mina Sharma Is From Andra Pradesh. His Father, Gurunath Sharma worked as a Care taker of a transport Farm Storehouse. Sharma was Yaised by his grandparents and uncles in Borivali because of his Father's Low income. Sharma Joined a Cricket Camp in 1999 with his uncles money. He made his domestic cricket debut for west zone in their Deodhar Trophy match against Central zone in march 2005. He gained attention For Scoring an unbeatable 142 in 123 balls. Sharma made his ODI debut against Ireland in 2007. In 2014, his 264 against Sri-lanka broke a bunch of ODI records as it was the highest individual ODI Score, the First ODI 250 and the First instance of two double-Centuries by a player. He married his friend, manager and girlfriends of Six years Ritika Sajdesh. They live in their 4-BHK apartment in Ahuja Towers worli, Mumbai. He received Arjung Award in 2015, Major Dhyan chand khel Ratna Award 2020 and he selected ICC ODI Player of the year 2019.
